West Jakarta LH Monitors the Implementation of Pergub No. 142/2019

West Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency deployed personnel to monitor the implementation of the use of eco-friendly shopping bags (KBRL).

We monitor about 700 minimarkets and 30 traditional markets in West Jakarta

It was related with Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 142/2019 concerning Obligation to the Use of Eco-friendly Shopping Bags in Shopping Centers, Supermarkets, and Traditional Markets which started to effective from July 1, 2020.

West Jakarta LH Sub-agency Head, Slamet Riyadi conveyed, this monitoring will be carried out every day to ensure supermarkets, traditional markets, and convenience stores to comply with applicable regulations.

PT Jaktour Supports Eco-friendly Shopping Bags Usage

"Total 100 personnel in this monitoring, where each sub-districts deploy 10 personnel and sub-agency deploys 20 personnel," he mentioned, Thursday (7/2).

According to him, this monitoring will be carried out until the end of July 2020. His personnel will impose sanctions on the violators, from administrative fines, business operation suspension, and business permit revocation.

"We monitor about 700 minimarkets and 30 traditional markets in West Jakarta," he informed.
